I'm beginning to wonder what will be finished first — the debt ceiling talks of the NFL labor talks.

Just when we all thought the owners and players were hours away from a new deal, we get all this last-minute bickering back and forth. It's enough to drive you mad.

It's difficult for me to have empathy for either side. Somehow, billionaire owners fighting with millionaire players on how to divide billions of dollars just doesn't leave me feeling sorry for anybody.

I hope this gets settled soon for their sake as well as everyone else's.
